"The Sacred Journey" by Frederick Buechner, the first in a trilogy of memoirs ("Now and Then" and "Telling Secrets" were the other two) that helped me make sense of my own story. Sacred Journey

"The Wind," by Cat Stevens - It propelled me on my own journey of faith, and has sustained my in it.

The movie "Mr. Holland's Opus," with Richard Dreyfus.

Favorite Historical Figure:

Jimmy Carter, our 39th US President - I appreciated his post-presidential leadership, in particular, in the areas of global health, community development, and peacemaking.
